No Better Alibi is a story about a quest for the truth and a rescue mission that will bring two brothers and their friends face to face with death and destruction. Theirs is a future where things can only go from bad to worse. A future where nothing, not even life itself, is sacred.
About Andrew Donaldsson
Andrew took early retirement to begin writing non-fiction following a varied career that began teaching mathematics before serving in the eighties as an RAF Officer specialising in weapon systems and explosives and subject to the UK Official Secrets Act. After a short spell in industry he worked for the Ministry of Defence before seeing out his career in senior management roles in Further Education. During his career, Andrew has written engineering texts, sports coaching manuals, and completed his Doctoral thesis way back in 2001. Having been an accomplished sports competitor and coach Andrew also wrote a series of articles published in his local evening Gazette in the late nineties on training for and competing in the London Marathon.
When nearing the end of the field research for his first non-fiction book focused on grassroots coaching the lockdown put the project on hold. However, inspired by a quote attributed to the French philosopher Albert Camus, he embarked on a new project and set about writing No Better Alibi. Andrew is now working on the sequel No Lesser Evil with the aim to publish in the summer of 2025.
